WRAL-TV in the Raleigh-Durham is sponsoring this activity and have had at least three flights to Washington for the WWII veterans. As the Son and Son-In-Law of World War II Veterans I appreciate what the organization is doing to show this generation of warriors that they are appreciated because soon there will be none left. Had he lived my father would have been 100 years old a couple of weeks ago and my father-in-law will be 91 in November; consequently, all of these veterans in their 80s.
